It has been a common practice by majority of astrologers to give predictions for transits from Rasi, by and large taking into consideration the houses they occupy during transits.

No doubt, it’s important.

But one cannot lose sight of the fact that the results of transits should be reckoned from Janma Lagna as well.

What’s the authenticity ?

There is a scripture called Vidya Maadhaveeyam written by Sri Vidhya Madhavan who has left behind the following:

From Janma Lagna:

If Sun is placed in 3, 4, 6, 10, 11 and 12 he is capable of giving good results.

If Moon is placed in 3, 6, 10 and 11 from Janma Lagna, he can give good results.

If Mars is placed in 3, 5, 6, 10 and 11, he will give good results.

If Mercury is placed in Lagna, 3, 4, 6, 10 and 11, he is capable of giving good results.

If Jupiter is placed in 3, 8, 11 and 12 from Janma Lagna, he is capable of giving good results.

If Venus is placed in 2, 6, 7, 11 and 12, he can give beneficial results.

If Saneeshwara is placed in Lagna, 3, 4, 6, 10 and11, he is capable of showering his blessings.

If all the planets are in the 11th house, they are certainly capable of giving benefic results.
