My Guide

I draw my strength from Lord Nrusimha and especially from Mattapalli Sri Yogananda Lakshmi Nrusimha Swami. This temple is based in the forest area 130 km away from Vijaywada. It is believed sages like Maharishi Bharadwaja and his disciples used to propitiate Lord Nrusimha here, in the cave during Tirumanjanam. Lord Nrusmha here appears in a seating yogic posture and adorned in a Silver Armour sporting a mustache. This temple is one of the powerful Lakshmi Nrusimha Kshetras. It is highly recommended to visit this temple and feel the powerful positive vibrations and get benefitted. The great vedic scholar Sri Mukkur Lakshmi Narsimhachariar always recommended to have a dip in the Krishna River and wearing the same wet clothes do 32 pradakshinas from the dwaja stamba to the garuda hanuman sannadhi for relief from any problems. This is to be done morning, afternoon and evening for eleven consecutive days.

My Acharyas

Sri Agnihotram RamanujaTatachariar was a very renowned Vedic Scholar. He upheld the values of Hinduism and represented the Sri Vaishnava sect. Sri Agnihotram Tatachariar was a descendant of Nathamuni who originally hailed from Kumbakonam. Being a Vedic Scholar par excellence, he was the recipient of two national awards for his contribution to Vedic Studies and Sanskrit Literature. He had conducted host of Ashwamedha Yagas, Soma Yagas, Putra Kameshthi Yagas etc with the esrtwhile royal princess of states. He was the only acharya who was sought after for performing these magnificient Yagas. He was a great Veda purusha who was also highly regarded by saints during his time.

Mukkur Lakshmi Narasimhachariar was also a great Vedic Scholar who left us too soon. He devoted his life propitiating Nrusimha and is single handedly responsible to put Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Temple at Mattapalli in the world map. Being a Nrusimha upsaka, he had done 107 Yagnas across India in a span of two decades. During these Yagnas, he would get into trance like states and go without any food or water for days. It is in one of these episodes the famous Mattapalli Mangalastakam emerged.
